NEWS!

There are a lot of things going on at The Distant Whistle Brewhouse in the next couple weeks, so I'd like to give you all the info we have right now.

This upcoming Wednesday, August 30, we will be hosting the Home Brewed Band from 7-10 PM. BenJammin Gauthier brings the tunes to the taproom and engages with the audience in creative and fun ways while keeping with the atmosphere of the brewhouse!

The next round of Mug Club Memberships will be opening soon. We have an e-mail list available at the bar for those who would like to know as soon as they are here. As usual, memberships are $100 for a lifetime, and come with a 20 oz mug. Tuesday is Mug Club Night, and mug fills are 20% off all day!

OUR 1st ANNIVERSARY PARTY IS SEPTEMBER 9!!!

It's hard to believe that it has already been a year of pouring delicious craft brews in Vicksburg! We have felt so welcomed and well-received, that we are planning to throw a party to thank everyone for their patronage. We will have live music, a special anniversary beer release, games, outdoor service, food (probably BBQ and hopefully another option), and we will be having merchandise giveaways throughout the night. One lucky attendee will win a raffled off MUG CLUB MEMBERSHIP, too!

 Hops For Hunger!

We will be participating in the Hops For Hunger campaign throughout the month of September. We will be donating $1 from every pint of our upcoming Equinox Pale Ale to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. But wait, we won't be releasing Equinox until the second week of September, isn't that sort of cheating the food bank? Hell no! Until the Equinox hits the taps, we will be donating $1 for every pint sold until Equinox hits the taps! Be sure to also check out our friends at Brite Eyes Brewing and Territorial Brewing Company who are also participating!

I think that's all for now.

Spring Has Sprung 5/1/17

Full disclosure...

We are better at making beer than keeping up with our website, but we are trying to get better.

With that apology out of the way, we can get into the news around the brewery! We are 7 months into our existence and have served tons of beer and met a lot of awesome beer loving people. We have upgraded from our 1 barrel brew system to our shiny 3 barrel brewhouse, which has lightened some of the load on the brewery side of the operation. Having the larger brew system has helped us save time on brew days and open up all kinds of different options for what beers we can brew up (including the upcoming Double IPA and Scottish Wee Heavy...)

We have been playing with new flavor profiles and working on some interesting new upcoming brews, including a citrusy OAT IPA, a deliciously herbal GINGER CENTENNIAL IPA, a fruity RASPBERRY ALE (just in time for warm weather), and the return of our MACH 5 PALE ALE with orange peel.

We are still working to get the word out about a few of our regular special nights and offers. On Tuesdays, we offer specials for our Mug Club Members. On Wednesdays, we host the Wednesday Night Social Club, in which you can get 10% off your pints just for playing games with friends (and we will also be starting Vinyl Night on Wednesdays, so bring in those records and enjoy some music!) Thirsty Thursday Trivia is the MAIN EVENT of the week, starting at 8 PM, the night's winning team gets 25% off their drinks, and 2nd place gets the coveted PRIZE...

There's always something happening at The Distant Whistle Brewhouse, and I'll be sure to update this blog as often as I can with news and events!

Until next time, a hearty slainte and prosit from us to you!
